Description
This magnificent Palacete is located in one of the most elegant and refined areas of Lisbon, known as Lapa. Situated among other palaces, embassies and private gardens, the Palacete enjoys enchanting views of the Tagus River and is just five to ten minutes from the center of Lisbon.
With two facades on emblematic streets of Lapa, and a third overlooking a private area of approximately three hundred square meters, the Palacete is an example of the eclectic style, built in two phases. The ground floor was built in the 18th century, while the rest of the building was erected in the 19th century. Its solid structure allows for easy alterations to the interior.
Upon entering, you are greeted by a beautiful two-story hall with antique stone floors, 18th-century tiles, and a magnificent stone staircase leading to the first floor. To the right, there are three contiguous rooms, while to the left, there is a spacious living room with an open fireplace. At the opposite end, with access to the garden, there is a bathroom, a kitchen, a secondary entrance with stairs and an elevator, a guest bathroom and a service bathroom. The first floor follows a similar layout to the ground floor, with bathroom and kitchen areas aligned vertically. On this floor, there are five bedrooms and three full bathrooms. Two bedrooms have private bathrooms, while the other three share a bathroom. Currently, two of the bedrooms are used as a living room and dining room, and there is also a living room connecting several spaces.
The six French windows with soft arches and stone frames give the palace immense charm. Each window has an individual balcony with delicate ironwork details. The windows overlooking the garden are large, allowing plenty of light to enter and offering beautiful views of the garden. The second floor, slightly set back, can be accessed via the elevator and a secondary staircase. This floor has a kitchen, three bathrooms, four bedrooms and a room with a fireplace. To the right of the elevator, there is a staircase leading to the attic. In addition, there is an annex that was originally used as a stable in the 18th century, but was later converted into a garage and subsequently adapted for residential use. The Palacete is being sold as is.
Due to its characteristics, the Palacete is ideal for use as an institutional building, boutique hotel, luxury apartments or a sophisticated residence. There is the possibility of creating a garden, a garage and even a terrace overlooking the river.
